WHY I DO WHAT I DO
My journey to a healthier life began when I was young. Starting in high school, I was no stranger to the woes of an upset stomach, bouts of extreme bloating, and the occasional stomach pain. Every doctor my mom took me to diagnosed me with IBS. For years, I trudged along, considering these discomforts to be my "normal."
In a previous chapter of my life, I enjoyed a 20-year career in corporate retail. While I loved it, the stress levels were off the charts, and I felt like I was living life in the fast lane. I encountered problems with gluten and a leaky gut. When I became a mother, my body waved the white flag, I was constantly exhausted and frequently under the weather. My gut instinct told me this wasn’t normal or just part of being a mom with a demanding career.
I found myself hospitalized with Pericarditis. The doctors treating me couldn't fathom the connection between these seemingly unrelated symptoms and my diet. On the surface, I appeared healthy—I loved to work out, and no one would suspect I had a less-than-stellar diet. But deep down, I knew my "symptoms"—gut issues, exhaustion, a weakened immune system, and a mysterious rash—were all intertwined, urging me to take charge of my well-being.
So, I delved into the realm of functional health and medicine, first healing myself and then continuing to expand my knowledge to help others. The knowledge I uncovered transformed my life in ways I could have never imagined.
Fueled by my newfound wisdom and personal experiences, I made it my mission to formalize and continue my education to guide others towards feeling better and living more fulfilling lives. I have worked closely with satisfied clients, both individually and in group sessions, for over five years to unearth the root causes of their symptoms and imbalances.
